3.3.2 Cabinets: Hardware: Pulls
  1. Warranty Period

In-Home: Cabinet panels and hardware receive 1-year warranty coverage from the original date of occupancy of the home.

Common Property: Cabinet panels and hardware receive 15-month warranty coverage from the date of first conveyance.

  2. Potentially Warrantable Issues

    1. Pull not installed level
    2. Pull loose
      1. Applicable if fastener(s) will not tighten due to being too long or stripped threads not caused by over-tightening after original date of possession. Drawer pulls may loosen over time from normal use. Tightening handles falls under maintenance and is not covered under warranty.
    3. Defect in manufacturing leading to material failure
    4. Damage reported prior to original date of occupancy
  3. Non-Warrantable Issues

    1. Wear or discolouration of finish
      1. Wear or discolouration may occur from normal use and is not typically covered under warranty, unless it can be demonstrated that failure is caused by manufacturing defect in finish.
    2. Corrosion
    3. Damage reported after initial occupancy
  4. Prevention and Maintenance

    1. Clean surfaces using a lightly-damp cloth. Avoid the use of harsh abrasives and tools that might cause scratches to the surface. Avoid using caustic chemicals that may cause discolouration or deterioration to the finished surface.
    2. Avoid the use of heat on surfaces. Heat may cause discolouration or distortion of materials.
    3. Depending on frequency and forcefulness of use, cabinet pulls may loosen over time and require tightening. This is not a warrantable defect. When tightening fasteners, do not over-torque. Always use the appropriate screwdriver or tool for the fastener head pattern.
    4. Pulls are not intended for significant load bearing. Do not apply heavy weight or use to brace body weight. Damage resulting from misuse is not warrantable.
